An exceptional vintage pottery tobacco jar made by Gray's Pottery, Stoke-On-Trent, England, c. 1920.
The jar depicts two hand coloured cartoon scenes. The lid (with rubber ring intact) is held on with a metal locking spinner that seals the jar, thus making it airtight to preserve the tobacco.
Height including lid 15 cm Circumference widest 49 cm.
Condition: excellent, slight rubbing to metal spinner.
