A handsome 1872 Great Britain Gothic Florin, catalogued as KM#746.2, struck in 92.5% sterling silver. Introduced as a two-shilling denomination, the florin represented one-tenth of a pound and became one of Britains most recognisable silver coins. This Victorian issue features the crowned bust of Queen Victoria on the obverse, while the reverse displays the celebrated ornate crowned cruciform shield design that gives the coin its popular Gothic Florin nickname. A desirable coin for collectors of British milled silver, Victorian coinage and world numismatics.

Approximately VF condition with moderate even circulation wear to portrait and reverse high points, clear date and legends, toned surfaces and scattered handling marks consistent with age.
