From Great Britain, a Boer War Advertising Medal dated 1900 from Johnson Bros. of Harborne (near Birmingham).

Tin. Width 35.5 mm (tip to tip). Mass 2.2 gm. 

Reference: Hern 580. Further information on the website, South African Commemorative Medals, Laidlaw 1187. The blank side should have a photographic image glued into the circular recess; in Hern's example this is of Lord Roberts.
