Great Britain Charles 1: 12 Shillings circa 1639-1641
Please note firstly this is an authentic 12 Shillings from 1639-1641,this is not a replica, this is my guarantee.
The issue with this coin is that outer most peripheries have been "clipped",a process that would have been practiced many centuries ago,it was illegal and often punished by death, where people would essentially steal part of the coin by clipping the rim ,if it was silver or gold ,this was a very common practice and many coins of this period would be clipped to some extent.
This coin however has remarkably good detail, about EF detail ,lightly cleaned, but still an extremely attractive and desirable specimen. Not often encountered.
