Great Britain: Very Large Collection of Coins and other Numismatic Items
This large collection consists of the following:-
Seven proof-like Festival of Great Britain Nickel Crowns of 1951. All in their original boxes but the boxes are generally not in good condition with 3 having the original certificates included. The coins themselves are all fine.
The decimal PROOF Coinage Sets of Great Britain and Northern Ireland for both the years 1970 and 1971.
Five Sets of “Britain’s First Decimal Coins” – each set consists of the Half Pence of to the 10 Pence. Some of the coins started to “sweat” under the sticky plastic and should be taken out and treated – they are still all in uncirculated condition.
Twenty Winston Churchill Commemorative Crowns of 1965, one being in a display box with certificate and 17 being stored in what look like their original paper envelopes they were probably sold in?
Six 1953 uncirculated sets from the Farthing up to the Half Crown. Some of these coins show the typical sweating after being stored too long in the plastic holders. These sets were issued in the first year of reign of Queen Elizabeth II.
1973 Proof 50-Pence, a Police Athletic Association Solid Proof Medallion (Tower Mint Box), a Commonwealth Games Commemorative £2 of 1986, the Royal Wedding Commemorative Crown of 1981 and a Queen Elizabeth II 5-shilling of 1953. Some of the boxes and holders show age marks.
States of Jersey Commemorative Coin Set of 1981 commemorating the bicentenary of the Battle of Jersey in 1781 and lastly an uncirculated coin set of Malawi (1971). The acrylic holder show age marks but the coins, including the Crown-sized One Kwacha, are fine.
One bid takes the whole collection.
