The Ninja was first recorded in the 15th century as a warrior organization who practiced espionage and guerilla type warfare. The Ninja were hired for jobs that the Samurai, bound by Bushido, would not take on with dishonor. The Ninja was specialized in spying, assassination and infiltration. For these tasks the Ninja had to rely on quick thoughts, the ability to adapt and the stealth. It was the Ninja's resourcefulness that determined his survival.

The tsuba of the Katana is of blackened and bronzed iron, with detailing in gold and silver and a battle scene decoration

The tsuka-ito and the sageo are woven from Japanese cotton. The fuchi and kashira are of blackened bronze with brass detailing, and the kojira, koiguchi and kurigata are of polished horn. The habaki is brass. The Tanto blade is grooved on both sides. This Katana has a medium length Kissaki. Sh
