Greatest Ever Rock presents some of the biggest bands and artists ever to hit the stage, from classic rock sounds through to heavy metal anthems. The hits are packed onto the 3 CDs enough to blow up your mum s stereo and wake up the neighbours for a week.
I think most people who buy these sets aren't expecting to have every one of their personal whims catered to. The title reads "greatest", but in reality it would be impossible to cater to every individual. I think this set offers a good mix- for all ages- of great rock music. Some songs are a bit more on the alternative/pop side of the rock spectrum, but they're decent nonetheless. There are bound to be some desirable and undesirable songs in sets like this. Thankfully for me, I enjoyed all the songs on offer.
I purchased this set for my Dad for Christmas, and he boasted about how much he enjoyed it on the way to and from work in the car. A few days later I went to work with him and we listened to it for an hour there and an hour back. It was brilliant, and features some of my favourites, along with great songs I haven't heard for ages. There were even a couple of obscure rarities in there.
