GSM Car Alarm System

Control the alarm in your car via your cell phone

or use it to control and monitor remote equipment.

We bought this system on BOB three months ago with a view to adapting it to remotely control and monitor a borehole filling a header tank via cellphone. We have changed our plans now and are selling the system. It is brand new.

Features of the system taken from the handbook are:

• It has two remote controls and a remote keypad (for programming), and can be operated either via the remotes or the cellphone
• It has a siren that is operated by the alarm
• It uses a SIM card and has its own phone number
• It has a speaker so you can talk to the people in the car via your cellphone
• It has a microphone to listen to the activity in the car.
• It has an emergency help switch
• It has a brake light switch sensor
• It has a shock sensor to detect movement.
• It has the ability to operate the central locking of the car.
• It has the ability to kill the engine via remote commands
• It has sensors to detect opening of the doors or engine compartment
• It has a control to allow opening of the trunk(boot)
• It has the ability to flash the parking lights

Features of operating the system

1. You can arm the system via the remote - siren will chirp once, parking light will flash once, doors locked and system armed. If doors are not properly closed siren will chirp 3 times.
2. You can arm the system using the mute arming system which has the same features as above except the siren is muted.
3. Disarm - parking lights flashes twice and siren chirps twice, system disarmed and doors unlocked. If door not opened within 30 seconds alarm is armed autiomatically.
4. Car finder - Parking lights and siren will chirp up to 25 times or until told to stop.
5. Anti hijacking and emergency call. - Press the remote key for 3 seconds and siren will sound immediately and parking lights flash. Ten seconds later engine will switch off. GSM unit will dial emergency number.   
6. ALTERNATIVELY Activate the secret emergency switch and the emergency cell phone number will be dialed without the occupants knowing and the microphone and speaker activated so the conversations can be monitored remotely.
7. Remote operation of the trunk - siren will chirp once when released.
8. Door/Engine Trigger Alarming - When armed - if the door or engine compartment is opened or power applied to the ignition - siren will sound for 25 seconds and parking lights flash, car immobilised and emergency cell phone numbers dialed.
9. Shock alarming - When armed - glass breaking, car bumping or loud thunder will trigger the alarm system for 5 seconds. If within 10 seconds the shock alarm is detected three times, then it goes to full alarm mode.
10. Mute shock alarming - Same as above but without the siren.
11. Auto Central Door Lock - 15 seconds after starting engine central door locking activated or once the foot brake applied for the first time. When car stops and engine turned off, doors automatically unlocked.
12. Door opening warning - whenever door is opened, parking light flashes for 15 seconds to warn oncoming cars. Lights stop flashing when door closed.
13. Alarm forbidden. - Via menu can deactivate alarm system when car is being repaired or a parking service is being used, or in an accident.
14. Trigger memory - When disarming the system after it has been armed for a long time, it indicates to the user that it has had an alarm trigger sometime in the past period when it was armed.
15. Power cable interruption. Should power be disconnected to the unit, the mains unit will use its backup battery to make a call to the emergency number.
16. GSM positioning - Need to apply to cell phone provider to activate position tracking which reports the closest cell phone tower to the vehicle when it has been stolen.
17. In car Mobile phone - Can use the alarm unit, remote keypad, microphone and speaker to use the system as a normal cell phone.

Other features

• Two emergency phone numbers can be specified and the unit will call these numbers in sequence until one is answered.
• Car can be immobilise when in use by command via cellphone. Cell phone command is needed to reactivate the engine after this state.
• Doors can be locked and unlocked via cell phone command.
• Status of the car can be monitored via cell phone. (Status: Disarmed, armed, armed by phone, door opened, driving, disable alarming, allow arming)
