An original gouache painting on paper by a listed South African painter H. Anderson, known internationally for South African landscape painting. Complete in the original gilded and stained underneath solid oak frame with glass. Featuring a vivacious landscape view of a double story Cape Dutch style house with whitewashed walls and wooden shutters nestled in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa. The back of a frame retains its original hanger with a wire that has two hanging rings, durable and secure.
Marks on artwork: Signed by artist "Steenberg Tokai H. Anderson" in black gouache paint lower RH corner.
Measures: 30 x 51 cm without frame. 38 cm high, 58.5 cm wide including frame.
Condition: Excellent overall. The artwork is in great condition, with an old water spot near and in the in right-hand corner, as pictured. The wooden frame is in sturdy condition with lovely age appropriate signs of wear, offering a feeling of antiquity. The back of the framing is showing substantial signs of age. Some minor dust behind the glass - this work has not been taken outside of its frame and not examined out of the frame.
Returns. I gladly accept returns, in the unlikely event that you are not thrilled with your item. You get a full refund of the purchase price up until the end of day 7 of receiving your order. Simply return the item to me in its original condition, shown in photos. The cost of returning the item using a door-to-door courier service is buyer's responsibility. Delivery or postal charges are non-refundable.
Delivery. I will dispatch your item on the next day after a cleared payment has been credited to my account by Bid Or Buy. Please allow 2 working days for the funds to roll over. The tracking number will be emailed to you on the day of dispatch.
Choose your delivery method:
- PostNet to Door 24hrs Courier (Main Areas/Major Centres only, outlying areas e.g. mining towns, farms, etc R330) R260.00. An option for extra large, jumbo items. Your item will be delivered directly to your home or work within 24 hours the next business day after dispatch. PostNet Courier will only accept deliveries to a physical address. If you are not present at the address to receive your package, the courier driver might hand over the parcel to a different person whom you instructed to accept it on your behalf. Track your parcel online at any time. At the checkout, select the "JUMBO ITEMS: PostNet to Door 24hrs Courier" as your delivery option, add R260.00 to your order and specify your physical address (home or work). For delivery to an outlying area, add R330 to your order (not R260.00).
- PostNet to PostNet R99.00. A flat fee no matter how big your item is. Your item will be delivered within 2 to 3 working days to your preferred PostNet branch to collect at your convenience. PostNet will SMS you to collect your parcel. Track your parcel online at any time. At the checkout, select the "Collect from a PostNet branch" as your delivery option, add R99.00 to your order and specify the address of your chosen PostNet branch.
- Post Office Insured Parcel R95.00 + 3% insurance, large parcel. Your item will be delivered within 7 to 10 working days to your nearest Post Office branch to collect at your convenience. Post Office will post you a notice to collect your parcel. Track your parcel online at any time. At the checkout, select the "SA Post Office Insured Large Parcel" as your delivery option, add R95 + 3% of the item's value (insurance) to your order and specify your physical or PO Box address.
Transit times are based on working days, and exclude weekends or public holidays.
Force Majeure. Although not a common case, over the lockdown period irregularities in delivery services can occasionally happen. In these circumstances I will appoint an alternative service provider to ensure that your parcel arrives safely on time. Any delays or irregularities in delivery that may occur would be relayed to you via email so that you are kept fully informed of the progress of your parcel.
Due to the unprecedented nature of the current situation, orders placed during the Lockdown will be dispatched only via Aramex courier or PostNet-to-PostNet.
