DESCRIPTION AND CONDITION
DESCRIPTION	An original oil painting depicting A WESTERN CAPE COTTAGE by South African artist H Esmond. The painting is signed by the artist at bottom left and he has dated it 1959. It is done on artist board (Hardboard treated with an undercoat to take oil paint) and still framed in the original 1950s / 60s period frame. The painting is of medium size and in horizontal format. It measures 63 x 78 cm and the artwork itself (thus without frame) measures 45 x 60 cm. See the 4 images and their descriptions below for more details.
CONDITION	The artwork is in very good condition with no fading and the colours nice and bright. The frame is also in good condition and is in the same period as the artwork. This painting can be hung as is.
