RARE & COLLECTABLE SOUTH AFRICAN HALLMARKED STERLING SILVER WINE BOTTLE COASTER

It has an elegant design with a solid silver border & central circular silver plaque (open for engraving). It has a wooden base with green felt to protect the table.

The condition is extremely good with one pinprick dent & very light scratches. Clearly hallmarked: Springbok head (South African standard mark post 1975), S925 and makers mark SM in shield

Despite endless searching, I am unable to identity the maker or year- any help would be appreciated

It measures 10.5 cm wide by 5cm high & weighs a generous 176grams!
