I am offering on this auction this Hamann Manus Mechanical Adding Machine.
This machine was manufactured in the 1930's, in Germany. It is Serial number 5017.
It is 25 cm wide, 15 cm deep and stands 15 cm tall.
It weighs 5.390 kgs.
This item is in Fair Cosmetic Condition showing signs of use and storage.
There is corrosion on most of the metal parts.
The four rubber feet are all present.
Mechanically, this item needs to be dismantled to restore properly.
Most aspects of the workings were stuck but after oiling most move stiffly. Others are still stuck.
The 9 number buttons move freely, and slowly return to their original position after pressing the add/mult button. Some of them don't stay in position when pressed to a selected number.
The cogs on the left in the photo were stuck but have now been loosened with oil.
The crank handle is stuck or I just don't know how to get it to turn.
The metal slide indicators have been oiled and loosened.
I do not know how this item works and don't know whether it is working properly.
This item is sold as is.
