HAMSA HAND EARRINGS WITH TURQUOISE

   The hamsa is a palm shaped figure symbolising the open right hand and is seen as a sign of protection in many societies.  The symbol is found in Judaism, Christianity and Islam. 

It is believed to defend against the ayin ha’ra, also known as the evil eye and to bring about blessings power and strength.The hand can be depicted with the fingers spread apart to ward off evil, or as closed together to bring good luck.

Turquoise is an excellent stone for treating depression due to its vibrant colour.  It is used to calm minds in turmoil following a nervous breakdown and to prevent panic attacks.  It can be worn to protect against negative energies and is said to change colour to warn of danger or illness.

The earrings are approximately 4cm in length and have 10mm turquoise round stone.
