Hand Carved Wooden Tea Tray

Carved out of hardwood, the freezes on this vintage tray suggests it originates from somewhere in Africa.  The person that I bought it from thinks she can remember it being around in her parents home during the 1940’s,  but from my experience, relying on memory alone for provenance, is not always accurate. The tray has seen active service, as evidenced by slight water marks to the surface - which could easily be removed, but I prefer seeing signs of distress on objects of this nature, so have not bothered doing so. It measures: 49cm x 30cm x 4cm. It is heavy, so please add R48 for postage.
