A traditional South African sport involving a short, padded stick with a rubber shield and a longer padded attacking stick. Used in indigenous games in KwaZulu Natal where it is known as induku and the Eastern Cape where it is called intonga. Players wear head gear and engage in battle, defending and attacking. The set includes two foam covered sticks and a hand-crafted rubber shield which fits over the shorter stick. The sticks are foam and material covered to reduce chances of injury. Proudly South African and manufactured with local materials.
Department of Sports and arts and culture standard as used in regional and national indigenous games.
