These avant garde handcrafted earrings are most unusual; measuring 48mm long x 14mm wide, they are crafted in very solid sterling silver, featuring natural gemstones running down the centre of the earring. 7 x nubs in the sterling silver are followed by 2 x round cut deep wine garnets, 2 x larger round cut amethysts, and ending in a larger pale blue oval cut blue topaz. All the gemstones have a textured handwork trim and are claw set. The jeweller has treated the earrings with an oxidation finish to create an interesting dark gunmetal finish that forms a wonderful contrast to the stones without being too dark. The earrings are solid sterling silver, single solid bars of sterling from the stud in a modern version of drop and dangle style, and weigh 23,2 grams together. Interesting 'jewellery art' earrings from a favourite doubleW jeweller who never makes the same piece twice! This one is a real conversation-piece!
