Lavender is anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial. It is effective on minor skin irritations, mild acne and burns as its antiseptic properties help speed up the healing process. The fragrance of lavender is relaxing, calming and offering relief for depression, anxiety and helps eliminate insomnia.

The essential oils in this soap are absorbed through the skin and boosts circulation, and inhaling stimulates the olfactory system (the part of the brain connected to smell, including the nose and brain). Molecules that enter the nose pass to the lungs and from there to other parts of the body. As the molecules reach the brain, they affect the limbic system, which is linked to our emotions, our blood pressure, breathing, memory, stress and hormone balance. In this way, essential oils can be subtle, yet have a holistic effect on the body.

The essential oils do not provide a cure for diseases, rashes or illnesses, but can support conventional treatment of various conditions.
