But he doesn't grow his Koi in oxygen enhanced ponds which means that they don't hit 60cm at two years. Rather they take the old school leisurely route to Jumbo - which means the quality lasts longer. As you can see this is a Koi that has so much potential still - the Sumi at the back of the fish is intense and of superb quality. This indicates what the final finished sumi on this Koi should be and that the Koi is far from complete. Already 50cm and halfway through it's third year of growth you can see that this Koi is going to become large - Jumbo and beyond.
