What you can't see is a little bit of orange on the cheek of the Koi. This is disappearing fast and there is a school of thought that says Shiro Utsuri will always have some orange come and go on them at some stage in their lives. This one is almost done - and from here on out the only way for this Koi is up. You can clearly see the underlying sumi on the head of this Koi - and when this comes through and the young skin thickens and whitens you are going to have a Koi that will be dramatic to say the least.
