Happy Koi Koi Fish Auction

First up is this very nice little Kohaku. Selected by William in Japan the fish has an attractive pattern and has grown enormously. It is now 34 cm and clearly in a superior league... Or is it?

If you look closely at the neck - you will see that the fish in fact has an indentation where the head joins the body on the left hand side (right in the picture). This is in fact a deformity and I probably missed it because the fish was much smaller and of course the Hi is so thick and lustrous it also helps hide the deformity, which now given the fish's much larger size is more obvious. So whilst this is not a show fish it is an imported quality bloodline fish, with a small deformity. And what a pattern! Our guess is also female.
