Manufacturers of china   and earthenware  at the Sutherland Road Works, Longton,  Stoke-on-Trent.  On the 1st November 1869 Robert George Scrivener left the previous business of Adams, Scrivener & Co and Harvey Adams and Titus Hammersley continued as 'Harvey Adams & Co'.  Titus Hammersley also had an interest in the company "Hammersley, Freeman & Co."  who operated at the adjoining Pribe of Wales Works.  Titus Hammersley retired in 1872 (died in 1875) and his oldest son, George Harris Hammersley, continued with Harvey Adams to August 1885 when Adams retired.     
 
Milk jug = good  condition = gilt wear = unmarked but same pattern = spout to handle 105mm x 115mm high.
