WinTV-PVR-150 MC-Kit comes with a Microsoft certified MC remote control. Control all of Media Center¿s functions with the included remote control. Play music, start a slide show, all from the comfort of your living room couch.
And if you have a cable TV or satellite box, the included Media Center IR transmitter can control the channel changing. So you can automatically schedule and record TV from cable TV or a satellite receiver.
Technically speaking: WinTV-PVR-150 MC contains a highly integrated MPEG-2 hardware encoder, plus a high quality integrated single chip video/audio digitizer. WinTV-PVR-150 MC can record to your PC¿s hard disk full screen video (full D1) from TV or an external A/V source, at data rates from 2 Mbits to 8 Mbits/sec (Media Center supports 3 standard profiles). The encoded MPEG-2 program stream is sent over the PCI bus, where it is stored on the PCs hard disk. The video can also be played back to the PC screen while recording, so you can pause, rewind and fast forward live TV.
