Tom Clancy and Ubisoft have gone hand-in-hand for many years now, producing some of the most realistic and in-depth military action titles in recent memory. In HAWX, this winning formula shifts focus from ground forces to airborne combat. In 2012, military nations have become ever dependant on Private Military Companies (or PMCs). As their work spreads into all walks to military life, PMCs dominate the city landscape. This shift of power causes a future arms threat and a dark future for the military.

Tom Clancy titles have always carefully walked the line between all-out realism and accessible gameplay, and HAWX is no different. The Enhanced Reality System (known as E.R.S.) is an in-flight technology that helps players stay one step ahead of the enemy, detecting incoming missiles and assessing any damage during combat. Using assistance mode, players can gain additional help and stability during combat. Once ready, players can turn off this assistance and get extra performance out of their aircraft.

HAWX successfully moves the world of Tom Clancy into air-based combat, keeping the balance between gritty realism and accessible gameplay.

E.R.S. is in-game technology that helps turn novice aviators into elite pilots of the future. The Enhanced Reality System is the backbone of your flight experience: radars and incoming missile detection, damage control system, tactical map and information relay, and weapons trajectory control. E.R.S. also allows you to issue orders to your squadron, making this system as iconic to Tom Clancy’s HAWX as the Cross-Com system is to Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter!
