HDMI Extender Balun (pair), Full HD, 45M, Single CAT, Full Remote Control support

Extend Full HD (1080p) video and audio signals from any HDMI source device such as a DSTV Decoder, TV Box, DVD or Blu-Ray player to a separate locations (e.g. bedrooms, boardroom) up to 45m via CAT5e/6 cable. Full Remote Control support from the extended location. Also suitable for extended connections to Projectors and HDMI devices located in a server cabinet or room. The Sender Unit has built-in Splitter (HDMI IN and OUT) for ease of connection see additional images.

The system includes a TX (transmitter sender) and RX (receiver) unit which are powered via an external 5VDC 1A power supply. The physical connection between the TX and RX units is via a single CAT cable (TIA 568B straight through). CAT5e or CAT6 Foiled Twisted Pair (FTP) cable is recommended for best results. Up to 4x CAT cables can fit into your existing home conduit. If your conduit already has an old RF coaxial cable these can be used a pull wire for the new CAT cable.

This unit supports IR Source Control:

• With IR (Infrared) Source Control the remote control of any HDMI source such a DSTV decoder will work from the extended location through the extender system meaning the decoder can be controller as normal from the boardroom or bedroom etc. The unit is supplied with both a IR-TX eye (mounted onto your HDMI source device e.g. decoder) and IR-RX eye (mounted under the frame of your TV) at the extended location.

Note:

• Please ensure CAT cable is tested to the TIA 568B straight through standard prior to connection.
• Use you cell phone light at an angle to locate the DSTV decoder or similar devices IR receiver eye, then adhere this Extenders IR-TX in close proximity to it.
• HDMI Balun Extenders are often used in conjunction with HDMI Splitters which can then offer you multiple extensions to different locations.
