HEAVY VINTAGE HAND CRAFTED BALTIC AMBER DRESS RING. 925 STERLING SILVER. VERY COLLECTABLE!

This gorgeous piece features a large oval cabochon, domed, rising 7mm above the finger from its bezel-setting in sterling silver. The frame of the bezel is decorated with an intricate floral design, textured and detailed, in comparison with the the smooth polished surface of the large cigar band shank. The Baltic amber's honeyed tones are made more intriguing by several natural brown inclusions. The ring bears the 925 hallmark indicating sterling silver and the jeweller's signature. One of the nicest features of the ring is its broad silver shank, particularly on the shoulder. It gives the ring a nice solid feel and with its decorative raised bridge under the ring head to hold the baltic amber, it has a nice quality feel to it. It is vintage - not sure of age - but there is a distinct abrasion across one section of the amber. The ring is quite a substantial piece of jewellery at 8,40 grams and 22m long x 15mm wide, it will appeal to someone who likes their rings big, bold and beautiful.
