A striking commemorative ceramic by Royal Goedewaagen, this Delft-green and white house was created in 2014 to mark 150 years of Heineken (18642014). It is modelled on one of Heinekens historic Dutch brewery properties, echoing the stepped gables, arched windows, and tall rooflines of 19th-century architecture. The façade carries the inscription Stoom-Bier Brouwerij Heineken & Co 1864, a direct nod to the companys original Amsterdam brewery founded by Gerard Adriaan Heineken.
Unlike the miniature KLM Delft houses that double as spirit bottles or banks, this piece was made purely as a decorative collectors edition, and the small circular opening beneath is simply part of the slip-casting process. Measuring 10.5 cm × 6 cm × 8.5 cm, it is substantial in detail yet compact enough to display beautifully among breweriana or Delftware collections. The back is marked To commemorate 150 years Heineken 18642014, while the base carries full Royal Goedewaagen marks alongside the Heineken Collection Foundation copyright (2014). This edition would originally have been supplied in a presentation case, but here only the ceramic house itself is included.
This commemorative edition was produced by Royal Goedewaagen, one of the Netherlands oldest and most respected ceramic houses, founded in 1610. Based in Gouda and later Nieuw-Buinen, Royal Goedewaagen has long been associated with Dutch cultural exports, from traditional Delft blue pottery to exclusive collaborations with leading brands. Known for its meticulous craftsmanship and hand-painted detailing, the company's work is highly prized among collectors of fine Dutch ceramics.
In excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or crazing, this anniversary house is both a celebration of Dutch brewing heritage and an example of the artistry of Royal Goedewaagen. A true showpiece collectible for Heineken enthusiasts, Delft pottery lovers, or anyone seeking a centrepiece with provenance and history.
