SACM oolong Tea
All tea comes from 1 plant, Camellia Sinensis. (Herbs come from a variety of plants). Green tea leaves are unfermented. Oolong teas are partially fermented. Black teas are fully fermented. The degree of fermentation gives teas their color and aroma. It also alters their chemical makeups.
The taste of oolong varies widely among different subvarieties. It can be sweet and fruity with honey aromas, woody and thick with roasted aromas or green and fresh with bouquet aromas. The most famous are produced in the Wuyi Mountains of northern Fujian, such as Da Hong Pao.
Benefits
Oolong tea have more or less the combined qualities of black tea and green tea.
Health benefits of oolong tea include improved mental performance and alertness. These effects are directly related to the level of caffeine and the related chemicals, theophylline and theobromine, which stimulate the nervous system.
Its nutritional value comes from its vitamins (A, B2, B9, C, E and K) and minerals (calcium, manganese, copper, carotin, selenium, and potassium).
Oolong tea helps with weight loss because it contains polyphenols which increases the bodys metabolism to burn more carbohydrates and fats. Polyphenols also blocks the absorption of carbohydrates and fats. It also contains caffeine that is a stimulant that increases metabolism to burn carbohydrates and fats.
Beware:
Oolong tea does not have to be expensive to be effective.
These studies do not indicate that oolongs grown in a specific area are better fat burners than other oolongs. It is the processing that counts.
Losing 20 lbs in 30 days by adding 2 cups of oolong tea to your daily routine is nonsense. If this were true, I would be a size 2.
It helps type 2 diabetes to regulate the amount of blood sugar and insulin in the bloodstream. This reduces the dangerous dips and spikes in blood sugar.
It is well-known that tea drinkers have a lower risk of getting skin cancer . It reduces the risk of (ovarian) cancer. The polyphenols in oolong tea promotes apoptosis in stomach related cancerous growths. It also acts a chemo-preventive instrument against the development of other cancerous forms. The compounds stifle the activation of carcinogenic cells, prevent the formation of N-nitroso compounds and trap genotoxic agents before they can become effective.
The polyphenols are particularly powerful antioxidants . Antioxidants removes free radicals in the body.
It helps for eczema and other inflammatory skin conditions including psoriasis. The beneficial results of oolong tea can be seen in less than a week. Although the active mechanism has not been pinpointed exactly, many believe that the polyphenols present in oolong tea also work as anti-allergenic compounds.
The antioxidants present in oolong tea protect teeth against decay, strengthen the bone structure and prevent osteoporosis.
The polyphenols in the oolong tea help with stress management. It contains L-theanine that blocks L-glutamic acid to glutamate receptors in the brain. This would normally cause cortical neuron excitement, which leads to increased cognitive activity and neural stress responses. Since this amino acid binds to those sites, excitation does not occur and stress decreases because you are more able to keep your mind at rest.
Complications
Oolong tea side effects are caused its high caffeine content. Caffeine treats people differently, but some of the side effects of excess caffeine are headaches, anxiety, sleeplessness, diarrhea, heartburn, irregular heartbeat, and confusion. More serious conditions are diabetes, heart conditions, anxiety, irritable bowel syndrome and high blood pressure.
Drinking too much oolong tea can sweep out excess calcium that your body is processing. For patients with osteoporosis, this can speed up the process of bone degradation, even though other elements of oolong tea are helpful for this condition. It is best to use it as a preventative method for bone health, rather than a treatment.
