Sir Herbert Baker designed these desks with the union buildings around 1910 .They were used in the Union buildings and also by very senior officials in other parts of government . This one is made from teak (medium brown) . Its unreal to see how well it was constructed .Solid teak panels all round , thick stretcher (double bevelled .) and and +++
TAKE NOTE , you need space . Its 205 (w) 110 (d) 76 (h) . Its larger than it looks .
Very good condition for its age . Only a few scars on the top ,(old scratches but they are not prominent  ).   Lovely panels all round , it also works as an island .Please measure your space and entrances its BIG.

The R20 000 retail is not exaggerated  , I know a reputable shop with one on offer for more  than R20k. At the lower end they retail for R17-R18k . If you can find one . They are also getting harder to find .
