Die biografie van 'n groot kerkleier, prof Nicolaas Jacobus Hofmeyr (1827-1909).

Prof Hofmeyr was een van die eerste hoogleraars aan die Kweekskool op Stellenbosch en honderde studente het hul opleiding as predikant by hom ontvang. Hy was een van die medestigters van die Stellenbosse Gymnasium (nou die Paul Roos Gimnasium) en die Hoër Meisieskool Bloemhof. Uit die Stellenbosse Gymnasium het die Victoria Kollege ontwikkel, wat in 1918 die Universiteit van Stellenbosch geword het. Die skrywer van die biografie, JD Kestell, was 'n skoonseun van prof Hofmeyr. Die boek is in Nederlands geskryf en bevat 'n paar swart-wit-foto's.

Toestand: Goed vir ouderdom. Bruin merke en potloodmerkies op sommige blaaie. Die hardeband-omslag het wit vlekkies en merke.
