BRAND NOTICE: Selling online nationwide under our official brand name. Inventory is updated daily and live stock availability depends entirely on current store inventory across platforms.
This charming six-sided ceiling fixture beautifully captures the romantic country-cottage aesthetic of the late 20th century. Constructed from a hexagonal metal frame with an ornate brass-plated finish, the shade houses six curved, opaque white glass panels decorated with a delicate screen-printed enamel Morning Glory botanical floral motif. The design is rich with historic textures, featuring twisted wire accents, a matching hanging chain loop, and delicate embossed filigree daisy brackets anchoring each corner seam. When illuminated, the translucent enamel accentsparticularly the vibrant yellow segments right above the pink petalscatch the light dynamically, creating a warm, soft ambient glow that entirely eliminates bulb glare. This nostalgic piece is a perfect accent for a cozy farmhouse kitchen, a vintage-styled dining nook, or a romantic bedroom retreat.
An authentic example of 1980s country revival interior styling, heavily inspired by late Victorian panel lamps and traditional American leaded glass artistry. Manufactured using a specialized screen-printed enamel transfer technique applied to the reverse side of flat glass panels before kiln-bending, ensuring the interior serving surface remains completely smooth while allowing light to shine through translucent color bands with incredible depth. Constructed from machine-pressed glass panels slotted into a lightweight plated metal framework, allowing for an elaborate heritage look without the excessive weight of solid cast brass.
Original Intended Use: Cozy overhead lighting for a farmhouse dining nook or cottage hallway. Alternate Suggested Use: Character-rich accent light for a sunroom garden area or a unique styling piece for a vintage-themed bakery or boutique.
Made in South Africa or Taiwan, 1980s, making this nostalgic light fixture 40+ years old.
Did you know? The 1980s saw a massive interior design movement called "Country Revival," where homeowners fell back in love with the warm, comforting textures of older eras. Factories created pieces like this paneled floral light to pay affordable homage to the rare, high-end stained-glass Tiffany lamps of the turn of the century, bringing cozy botanical details back into the heart of modern family homes.
Approximate Dimensions: Diameter 38cm, Shade Vertical Height 32cm, Total Hanging Length (with chain) 65cm.
Condition: Good vintage structural condition with zero cracks to the curved glass panels, zero chips along the glass edges, and a completely sound, stable frame assembly.
Visible Flaws: The metal framework shows expected age-appropriate surface corrosion, localized oxidation spots, and faint tarnish across the brass plating, particularly along the lower rim and filigree brackets. The metal will clean up beautifully with a light detailing polish, or it can be left exactly as is to preserve its authentic, time-matured vintage patina.
