Heinemann 1961 - so much better than a paperback - old Heyers are getting very collectable - this is is one of her scarcer early books - Historical novel which follows Charles II and his adventures after the Royalist defeat at the Battle of Worcester, after which he hid in the "Royal Oak". Orange cloth cover with brown lettering to front and spine and brown GH Monogram on bottom corner. Jacket illustrated with Charles hiding in the oak tree watching Roundhead Soldiers below. - This is an x-lib with the front free endpaper removes - wrapper still in great condition.
