High Quality Hand Painted Shiwan Chinese Mudman - Fisherman with catch of the day
This is a beautifully hand painted Chinese 'Mudman' pottery figurine; made from unglazed brown clay, it is hand painted with a soft semi-gloss finish to his hair, headdress, belt and shoes, and a shiny high gloss glaze to his robes and accessories.
The man is sitting on a large stone holding his fishing pole with a fish on the hook. At his right hand is a container for his catch.
In lovely condition, showing minor aging and gentle wear with some rubbing. The fish has chips and is worn.
