Highly Sought After - Record No. 4½ Smoothing Plane

The Record No 4½ has become incredibly popular following the praises that many high-profile woodworkers have given it.This is due to its extra size and weight versus the No.4 (it is 1 inch longer and also quite a bit wider). Christopher Schwarz who is both a well known craftsman and author has gone so far as to say the extra size and weight of the No.4½ is a game changer.

As such these planes have become highly sought after and not many have been available lately.

This plane is in very good condition and has undergone a basic clean-up with the wooden tote and knob having been sanded and shellaced.
