The Hikvision DS-2CE12KF3T-DLS is a dual-lens ColorVu camera that uses two lenses and a built-in stitching algorithm to produce a single, seamless 180° panoramic image. Why colour night vision matters

Ordinary cameras switch to black-and-white infrared after dark, which is fine for spotting movement but useless for detail you can't tell the colour of a car or a jacket. ColorVu keeps recording in full colour through the night, so your footage is actually usable as evidence and description, not just a grey blur. That's the difference between "someone was here" and "a man in a red top left in a white bakkie."

How it fits your setup

This is a Turbo HD camera it connects over standard coax cable to an analogue / Turbo HD DVR (it's 4-in-1: TVI, AHD, CVI and CVBS compatible). If you already run an analogue CCTV system, it slots straight in. If you're starting fresh, you'll need a compatible Turbo HD DVR and a hard drive sized for how many days of footage you want to keep. Does the white light stay on all night? You can set it to stay on as a deterrent, or switch to infrared so it only lights up on motion your choice in the settings.
