 Himba Ochre box from Namibia, has some ochre and butterfat in it, The woman coat themselves and there adornments it contains a resin from The Commiphora tree which acts as an antiseptic aswell as the Himbas do not bath or shower, they cover themselves in this daily. The box is made from leather and Metal beads and Bone Horn. the Ochre stomne is rubbed and powdered , its then mixed with ash from the holy fire and Butterfat with the Galbanum from the tree. Its an amazing story from an amazing culture, theres much more, a wonderful addition to any collection.
