Please note the head has been repaired.  After extensive research and a few questions it was decided because of its origin that the material is Alabaster. It is softer than marble and it isn`t soapstone.

Statue is 17.5cm tall x 12.5cm wide ( does not include size of wood base )

1.1 kilograms

Legs crossed, the left hand in the lap, and the right hand pointing to the ground with the palm facing inward toward the Buddha. This posture is known as Calling The Earth to Witness, and it is the definition of the moment of enlightenment for the Buddha. The statue is mounted to wood.
