The Hisense A7100F is a basic, entry-level 4k TV. It's available in a wide range of sizes, from 43 to 85 inches, and the exact specs vary between sizes, which can be a bit confusing. The unit we tested has an IPS panel, which delivers wide viewing angles but low contrast. It also has sub-par black uniformity, and there's no local dimming feature, so it's not a good choice for a dark room. Some of the other sizes use VA panels, which should perform better in a dark room due to higher contrast, although there's still no local dimming on those. On the other hand, all sizes run the same great Android TV interface as the higher-end Hisense models, and the interface is smooth and easy to use, and it has a huge selection of smart apps. It also has incredibly low input lag, even outside of Game Mode, but the relatively slow response time makes it a mediocre TV for gaming.
