Volumes 1-5 complete. Some are from the third edition and other the fourth edition. Printed from 1911 to 1915. R70 postage within SA. All of them from a library where they were packed away in an Africana cupboard. Volume 1 has 504 pages. The Zulu war of devastation and the formation of the new Bantu communities. Volume 2 has 506 pages: Cape Colony from 1828-1846, Natal from 1824-1845 and proceedings of the emigrant farmers from 1836-1847. Volume 3 has 496 pages: Cape Colony, natal, Kaffraria and the Orange River Sovereignty and the Transvaal Republic from 1847-1858. Volume 4 has 500 pages. Volume 5 has 462 pages and include: events in Basutoland, account of the Makololo tribe and of the Herero war of Independence. Also Otjimbingwe, Rhenish Mission, Great Namaqualand, annexation of Walfish Bay to the Cape Colony and establishment of a German Protectorate in South-West Africa.
