Hardcover printed by J.W. Northend Ltd, 1920, no dust jacket. The boards are square and clean, yet are faded in patches. The spine is sunned, and has a small chip near the middle. There are some ageing marks on the inside front and rear boards, and what appear to be two finger marks on one of the front end papers. The rough cut pages have light soiling / discoloration along the edges. Otherwise all the pages themselves are clean and undamaged, as is the fold-out map. The author served in the Sheffield battalion during World War One.
