INDIVIDUAL GAME DESCRIPTIONS

HITMAN 2: SILENT ASSASSIN - The second Hitman game was released in 2002 and introduced many new features, shaping the heart of the franchise into what millions of fans love today. It introduced the famous “Silent Assassin” ranking, rewarding players for being practically a ghost: only taking out targets and not being seen by anyone else. The game also introduced the attention meter, giving players a better sense of acting with disguises and infiltrating areas. It was also the first time Agent 47 was able to sedate people with chloroform.

Agent 47 found sanctuary in an old Sicilian monastery, reflecting about his past as an assassin. His only friend and mentor at this time is Father Vittorio, who gets kidnapped by the mafia. In order to find Vittorio, Agent 47 contacts his former employer: the ICA. He agrees to work for them again, if he gets help from his former handler Diana Burnwood to trace the whereabouts of Father Vittorio. A fascinating journey begins, leading 47 onto a path he didn’t quite expect: the mystery of his creation.

HITMAN: CONTRACTS - The third instalment is considered to be the darkest Hitman game in the series. It begins in Paris, where Agent 47 gets shot by the police. He manages to stagger back to his hotel room, where he collapses in shock and starts hallucinating about former assignments. Apart from many new missions, players get to experience the best and re-mastered levels of the very first game: Hitman: Codename 47.

Hitman: Contracts refines the gameplay once again by giving players even more options to take out targets in a stealthy way. Every level is packed with different options to complete your mission.

HITMAN: BLOOD MONEY - In 2006, Agent 47 returned in his biggest adventure yet. Lucrative contracts on the rich and powerful in high profile locations make killing for money good business. But when a rival agency enters the scene, its war and only the best man will be left standing. Blood Money amps up the Hitman experience in every possible way. Among many new features, it brings in the “notoriety system”, which tracks how carefully the player approaches a mission. After finishing a level, a newspaper will feature an article about the latest hit. Depending on how much attention the player drew, the more detailed the article would be. Money earned from assassinations can be spent on weapon upgrades or to bribe witnesses.

Hitman: Blood Money features many unforgettable locations and hits like the stunning party in “A Dance with the Devil”, the mind boggling hit on an Opera singer in “Curtains Down” or a witness protection program gone wrong in “A New Life”. “A Murder of Crows”, taking place at a Mardi Gras parade, introduced the very first version of IO Interactive’s stand out crowd system.
