HMS Victory Museum Quality Tall Ship Model

The HMS Victory ship model is a faithful replica of the original HMS Victory -- Lord Nelson's flagship.

It took 3487 hours to build and was constructed out of walnut, mahogany and boxwood. The hull below the waterline is sheathed with approx. 3000 separate copper plates. and the rigging is faithfully reproduced from the official rigging plan as shown in the book, The Anatomy of Nelson's Ships, by C. Nepean Longridge. (Book included with the model).

An identical model is available through the Model Shipyard, Cape Town.  However it is rigged with sails.  As far as I can tell, my project is of an equal quality, if not better.

The Model Shipyard item is offered at nearly R40,000.00 including crating and shipping in South Africa.  My offer includes a custom crate (see

Scale - 1:78. Length - 51 inches. Height - 40 inches.

Color: Painted in the exact color scheme displayed on the existing vessel currently in dry dock in Portsmouth.

Rigging: Scale permitting, as per the original vessel.
