Actually new old stock - Never been on a layout and bought it as new from the US.
See that there are no dragmarks under the gearboxes from crossing over turnouts and the wheels are brand new.
Taking into account that this set dates from the early 80's, it is absolutely perfect with not a mark or a scratch.
Absolute bargain at the price.
On the test stand the motor and gears were dry from years of storage. I cleaned the gears and added some new special Trix gear grease, but I would advise running this in for at least 20 minutes each direction.
The box is tired with shelf wear and a few tears that has been repaired, but the content is in perfect working condition and pristine.
No paperwork however except a very old Warrenty card.
The Loco has two traction tyres and two axels powered, so it would be a nice puller, not like some of the new stuff with no traction tyres!
The loco has bi-directional lighting (that means they stay on irrespective of the travel direction).
The running number also lights up on both sides and there are double headlights.
But I must say, I have not seen a loco with this funny angled window on BoB before...
The Caboose seems to have a breakwheel missing - see photos
