HO Bachman no.623 GE U36B Diesel Loco and Caboose - The Rock (Boxed)

I told my husband that he must choose... so I am selling off a large collection of model railway items that will be listed.

Bachmann no.623 GE U36B The Rock Diesel Loco & Caboose Combo

Actually new old stock - Never been on a layout and bought it as new from the US.
I took it out of the box for the 1st time to get these photos and test the lights.
There was a loose wire which I resoldered (and was shocked at the quality of the previous soldering...)

Taking into account that this set dates from the early 80's, it is absolutely perfect with not a mark or a scratch.
Absolute bargain at the price.
On the test stand the motor and gears were dry from years of storage. I cleaned the gears and added some new special Trix gear grease, but I would advise running this in for at least 20 minutes each direction. 

The box is good with shelf wear (Caboose plastic insert has a crack), but the content is perfect. All paperwork included.
Loco has two traction tyres and two axels powered, so it would be a nice puller, not like some of the new stuff with no traction tyres!

The loco has bi-directional lighting and the running number also lights up on the cab side.
