This is actually new and I opened the box for the 1st time.
I would advise running this in for at least 20 minutes each direction to spread the gear grease and allow the gears to settle.
Please see the photo with the gears and gear grease as I took it out of the box... has not spread as yet!

The Loco is DCC ready so just plug in a decoder and you are up and running for DCC.
Currently the lights are bi-directional (they stay on irrespective of the direction of travel), but if the DCC decoder is plugged in, it will be directional. The photos just before the wheels are showing the 3 lights.
Hair-fine printing, good detail, all axels powered, nice and heavy and brand new.
Yes, there is a driver in the cab on number 1 side.
