The bank building which includes the bank managers house at the back of the building was built in 1906. In 1893 a branch of De Nationale Bank der Zuid-Afrikaanche Republiek Beperkt opened in Pilgrim's Rest. After the Anglo Boer War the name pof the banking group changed to the National Bank of South Africa Limited. After a number of restructuring and amalgamations the bank was run by First National Bank which eventually closed the Pilgrim's Rest branch in 2007.
The parts of the kit are made from laser cut card approximately 1mm thick and 3D printed plastic.
