The Hollyland Mars 4K Wireless Video Transmission System pairs a lightweight transmitter and receiver for true UHD 4K/30fps wireless video on gimbals, mirrorless rigs, and DSLR camera setups. The transmitter accepts both HDMI and SDI inputs, while the receiver mirrors that flexibility with HDMI and SDI outputs, and the system holds an ultra-low latency of just 0.06 seconds at a line-of-sight range of up to 450 ft (150 m).
An upgraded dual-core codec chip supports a data rate from 8 to 20 Mbps (12 Mbps default), and the SDI ports support decimal-point broadcast and production frame rates for compatibility across professional workflows. The transmitter can pair with up to two receivers simultaneously, or up to four mobile devices running the free HollyView app when no receiver is connected giving directors, producers, and other crew their own live view of the shot.
Both transmitter and receiver weigh approximately 223 g without antennas and feature a corrosion-resistant housing with disassembly-free, bullet-style antennas for fast setup. A bright color LCD with a rocker-style navigation button makes on-set configuration quick, and a smart channel scan automatically selects the clearest available frequency at startup.
Power flexibility is a strength of the Mars 4K: each unit runs on L-series (NP-F) batteries, a 6-16V DC adapter, or a 5V/2.5A USB-C charger.
