The Hollyland Pyro S Receiver completes or expands a Pyro S wireless video kit, delivering HDMI and SDI outputs from a single compact unit. Built on Hollyland's self-developed 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz dual-band technology with Auto Dual-Band Hopping (ADH), it holds a stable line-of-sight range of up to 1,300 ft (400 m) with latency as low as 50 ms.
The receiver supports up to 4K/30fps video over HDMI and 1080p60 over SDI, giving productions the flexibility to monitor in full resolution or push frame rate for fast-moving footage. A built-in frequency scanner automatically selects the clearest channel at startup, and a bright onboard LCD with a rocker-style joystick makes configuration straightforward on set.
Multiple power options keep the receiver running all day: a USB-C port supplies plug-and-play power (5-12V) and doubles as a UVC video interface for direct computer or live-streaming connection without a capture card, while a separately available locking DC adapter or L-series battery plate covers longer location shoots. The unit's magnesium-aluminum alloy shell is roughly 30% lighter than aluminum-only designs and dissipates heat more efficiently.
One Pyro S transmitter can feed up to four of these receivers simultaneously in Broadcast Mode, making this receiver ideal for adding extra monitoring points, a video village, or a backup feed to an existing Pyro S system. It's part of the broader Pyro ecosystem and is compatible with Pyro 5, Pyro 7, and Pyro H transmitters.
