The Hollyland Pyro S Transmitter is the source unit for Hollyland's mid-tier wireless video line, accepting one HDMI and one SDI input and sending up to 4K/30fps footage wirelessly to up to four Pyro S receivers and two mobile devices at once. Built-in Auto Dual-Band Hopping (ADH) combines 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz transmission to maintain a stable signal over a line-of-sight range of up to 1,300 ft (400 m), with latency as low as 50 ms.
Two operating modes let you tune the system to the shot: HD mode prioritizes image quality at up to 12 Mb/s bitrate, while Smooth mode dynamically adjusts bitrate to favor the lowest possible latency over longer distances. A built-in frequency scanner automatically locks onto the cleanest channel on startup, and preset grouping/pairing means the transmitter doesn't need to be manually re-paired with its receivers between setups.
The transmitter is built from aerospace-grade magnesium-aluminum alloy, about 30% lighter than aluminum-only competitors and better at shedding heat under a two-speed fan system. A USB-C port supports 5-12V plug-and-play power as well as UVC capture for direct streaming into a computer without extra capture hardware, and the unit can also run from a locking DC adapter or NP-F battery via an optional plate.
Compatible with the rest of the Pyro ecosystem (Pyro 5, Pyro 7, Pyro H), this standalone transmitter is ideal for productions adding a second camera feed, replacing a lost or damaged TX unit, or building a custom multi-camera Pyro S rig from individual components.
