A Holy Bible printed at the Oxford University Press in 1889 and issued in 1900 to Commemorate the Golden Jubilee of the Founding of the Verulam Wesleyan Methodist Church. About 400 people from Northern England, many of them Methodists, settled in Verulam in 1850. The Bible is signed: "Arthur Shaw Verulam 1900". The Shaw Family were prominent members of the Methodist Wesleyan Church in South Africa.
Leather bound. Gilded front lettering and page edges. 14 cm x 10 cm x 2.5 cm.
