With security being so important in South Africa, even the seemingly safest house or flat can not do without a sophisticated burglar alarm system. The Paradox range of alarms systems are developed and manufactured in Canada for the world market. Amongst the high quality range available in South Africa is even a series used by various militaries and banks world wide. There is no doubt that Paradox means business with their alarm systems.
The E65 is Paradox's entry level system in South Africa. Entry level for Paradox, but not for the competition! Expandable to a full 32 zones over two separate partitions and fully interfacable with Paradox's GSM reporting and IP (internet) reporting modules, it takes affordable burglar alarm systems to the next level.
This kit only comprises:
- One(1) Paradox E65 control panel and metal box encasing
- One(1) Paradox K636 LED keypad
- One(1) Power supply
- One(1) 15W siren
- Two(2) Paradox "Pro Plus" (Model 467+) passive infrared motion detectors
- Two(2) Magnetic contact sets
- Two(2) Static emergency / panic buttons
- Installation and user manuals (which I can also provide electronically is desired)
Items required to complete installation:
- Cable, both 0.2 ripcord and 8 core security cable, available from nearly any electronic shop
- Backup battery, a 12 Volt 7 Amp Hour battery, also available from electronics shops
- Security glue or a hot glue gun (or any glue that will adhere to both paint and plastic)
- Screw drivers, one flat edge and one philips
- Side cutters
- Just a little bit of DIY or electronics knowledge and the ability to read the manual
Please note that this system is designed to report over a radio or GSM network and as such it does not have a telephone dialer. Most monitoring and armed response companies use radio networks and the E65 works perfectly with all radio alarm communicators in use.
Additional services:
Programming service - R 250.00 - For those who are comfortable with mounting and wiring but not on the programming, I will programme the panel for you. Please add a day onto delivery time for me to do this. I will ask you for the details I need to determine how best to program the system.
Wiring service - R 350 - For those who are not comfortable with wiring the sensors, I will wire the sensors and mark the other end of the cable and panel board, you will just have to mount and wire in "by numbers" and include the cable required. I will ask you for the distance between each component and the panel location for cable lengths.
Programming and wiring - R 500 - The two above apply.
Installation - R 1 500 - Includes programming, wiring, installation, hardware, glue etc etc but is only available in Cape Town and Surrounds. The installation is usually completed within 4 hours, but may take a day or two to fit into the schedule. Installations on Saturdays attract an additional R 250.

- Buyers who select a shipping method without insurance do so at their own risk. Risk transfers to the buyer upon our delivery of the goods to the SAPO for Counter-to-Counter or other post methods. Please open the parcel in the Post Office to check that you have in fact received what you ordered, this is for your own protection when trying to claim theft in the Postage System. Please learn this from the mistakes of others and not your own. Deliveries within Cape Town will either be done by myself, a staff member, or a tried and trusted local courier, and insurance will not be required.
